“Anna tulla” – Herald’s second single from the new album

Today, on 13th of October 2010, Estonian heavy-metal band Herald will release the 2nd single „Anna tulla“ from their upcoming album „Γαῖα“. „Anna tulla“ will be the only cover-song on this album. The song origins from the 80´s Estonian heavy metal legend Varaan, being their nr 1 hit-single of that time. Members of Varaan also participated in the process of recording this new cover version – Eero Valdna on vocals and Tamur Marjasoo on lead guitar. Presence of the original members will add authenticity and a nostalgic touch for the old-time heavy metal fans. Song itself is still in the style of „good old heavy metal” and delivers the same heaviness of the riffs as the original did yet with even more power and melody. The song has also a lot to offer to the younger generations of metal-heads as the low-tuned guitars, shredding guitar solo and cutting-through-the-bones vocals add spice even for the most demanding listeners.
„Anna tulla“ is recorded and mixed by Arne Holm at the „Music Works“ studio, mastered by Jaakko Viitalähde at „Studio Kuu“ and produced by Arne Holm and Herald.

Heralds new album „Γαῖα“ features 12 songs and will be released in late autumn of 2010. The new album will be more dynamic and diverse compared to the older material and this time the lyrics will be only in Estonian. Despite of some changes, Herald is still being faithful to its roots and fans and the music can be described as heavy metal with some thrash and rock touch. New album will contain some fast and some slow songs, some more thrashy and some more melodic metal. Overall message of the band is prophetic covering subjects form this world to the other side: futile Man against ancient forces of the Nature.
Herald has been active since the year 2000 and celebrates their 10th anniversary this year.
