Zakk Wylde (USA) chose Herald as supporter for his concert in Tallinn (EST)

Guitar virtuoso Zakk Wylde and his band Black Label Society will play at Rock Cafe (Tallinn, Estonia) on 16th of May, 2012. Zakk Wylde chose Herald as supporter for his gig.

Herald, founded in 2000, is an Estonian heavy-metal band that has brought the true spirit back to  the local metal scene. Their catching live shows, adroit use of instruments and thought-provoking lyrics have successfully incited the interest and respect of teenage rockers as well as long-time metal veterans. Herald’s first LP “Heavy Metal Wakes The Beast” (2005) was followed by dozens of successful gigs in Estonia and Europe.
After some changes to the line ups in 2009, Herald became even more energetic and professional. In 2010 Herald celebrated their 10th anniversary with a second album “Gaia”. The new album can be described as classic heavy metal which is dynamic and diverse. As the lyrics are in Estonian language only it also adds an exotic touch for foreign listeners. “Gaia” has been warmly received by the fans and is a true new landmark in the landscape of Estonian metal music. The song “Anna tulla!” from album “Gaia” received “The Track of the Year 2010” award from Radio Mania.
In 2010 and 2011 Herald participated in the 2 biggest rock festivals of Estonia – Rock Ramp and Hard Rock Laager where the band gave pyrotechnics-spiced gigs to thousands of fans. In addition to those Herald had a number of concerts all over Estonia.
The band released their first music video “Amanita” in December of 2011. The surrealistic short movie, with a mystic mutant-mushroom as the main character, has got airtime in national channels ETV and ETV2. It has been voted to no 1 by the fans in ETV2’s show “Eesti Top 7”.

Herald’s singer Sven Varkel commented that it’s an honour for Herald to share stage with such a legend as Zakk Wylde surely is! “There are couple of guys in our band that really like Ozzy’s music and thus Zakk Wylde, who really is the behind those killer riffs”, Varkel said. “I believe we can give do a really good warm-up for the fans of Zakk and BLS. It’s impossible to listen  and mosh to those riffs and this power with a cold neck!”

The tickets to Black Label Society concert are sold at Piletilevi points of sale, on their website www.piletilevi.ee and also in Statoil service stations all over Estonia. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
