Radio Mania’s Music Award granted to Herald!

Radio Mania, the only real rock station in Estonia, celebrated its 9th year on air on 12th of March, 2011. The event brought full house to Rock Cafe. There were plenty of bands on the stage and also Herald. In this evening Radio Mania’s Music Awards of 2010 and the laureate of Estonian Rock N’ Roll Wall of Fame were announced.

We were surprised when Herald was invited to the stage and we were presented  the Radio Mania’s Music Award for the Best Song of 2010! The name of this song is “Anna tulla!” (Come on!). It’s our cover version of the 80-ies hit single played by Varaan. Since the original author Tamur Marjasoo and the original singer Eero Valdna were on stage with us this night they were also invited to the stage. We had a great honour to pass the award to Tamur since he really deserved that! Thanks, guys!

The star on the Rock N’ Roll Wall of Fame was granted to J.M.K.E. – the most legendary punk act that literally helped to sing Estonia free from Soviet Union’s terror in the end of the 8-ies with their hit “Tere, perestroika!” (Hello, perestroika!). Herald sends the warmest greetings to Villu Tamme and co!

We would like to thank all the fans for support during all the years. Herald would not be the same without you as it is today!
